Winchelsea Beach

A small seaside village in East Sussex



The main attraction is of course our lovely beach, with wonderful swimming at high tide and a paradise for playing, shrimping, windsurfing, exploring, watching wildlife or walking at low tide.  A little further afield are:
Rye Harbour Nature Reserve - Camber Castle Winchelsea TownRye - Fairlight Cliffs - Bodiam Castle - Dungeness Hythe/Dymchurch miniature railway - Rudyard Kipling's House - Bexhill-on-Sea

You can also swim in the Rye swimming pool. This is at the Rye Sports Centre, The Grove. (Turn down Rope Walk, cross the railway line and it is on the left)  Swimming times

The neighbouring village of Rye Harbour is within easy walking or cycling distance along the shore road , and has a shop, pub, cafe and fishmonger selling local fish.
